Oak herringbone blocks used to only come in solid oak small blocks with the introduction of engineered blocks in oak & walnut our range parquet flooring is ever increasing. Engineered oak herringbone blocks can be used with underfloor heating. Where as solid oak parquet blocks can not. With engineered blocks the size can be longer and wider, sometimes known as whalebone parquet flooring.
Oak Herringbone BlocksThe design of the structured engineered herringbone blocks means as well as bigger blocks they can be floated. So instead of needing to be glued down to the sub floor. The easiest way of laying a floated herringbone pattern is is with our 14/3 x 150mm x 600mm engineered oak mutliply base Click system. This has a left & right handed board fitting together simply and quickly.

Along with herringbone blocks and chevrons. Due to the high manufacturing tolerances required, square shouldered (without bevel) engineered oak boards are normally available unfinished. As these floors are manufactured on state of the art new machinery it is possible to produce square shouldered planks, herringbone and Chevrons finished format - something many manufacturers are unable to do. We hold stock of a 16mm thick board with a 4mm European Oak top layer 180mm wide & 2440mm long in 15 popular colours (please see the Images on site). In addition all ten colours are also available in made to order in various widths and thicknesses in plank, herringbone and chevron including 12mm, 16mm, and 19mm with either a 4mm or 5mm top layer. Widths can be up to 240mm and lengths up to 2440mm. Unfinished Engineered Oak
Unfinished engineered European oak flooring requires a finish to be applied after installation. So the unfinished Boards can come flat sanded, brushed or heavily brushed & distressed .
