COVID-19 (Coronavirus) – Supplier Briefing B2B

With the outbreak of coronavirus, I am writing this page to keep you informed of the actions we are taking to keep our people and business as safe as possible.

As an essential part of supply chain critical to your business, Wholesale wood flooring Ltd has been trying our best to ensure running as smoothly as we possibly can to support you during this tough time. We treat the health and safety of all customers and employees as a top priority and are closely monitoring the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic and have implemented a number of precautionary measures as per below.

1) Opening time

We are a distribution centre, not open to the public, hence still open “as usual” but with limited staff only (one person in the office and two in the warehouse, rest of the teams are working at home now). Opening time 9 am to 5:30 pm Mondays to Fridays. All of us are wearing face-mask every day for the safety of everyone. We will continue to follow government guidelines on a day to day basis and will inform you if anything changes. We are and will continue to support our customers however and whenever we can.

2) Collection and visiting

Under current government policy, we are not entertaining any customer collection/visiting due to social distancing. Please make sure you are aware of this and do not send any drivers to our premise during this period.

3) Orders

We have been experiencing an increased amount of last-minute orders recently. And would advise you and your client to make decisions as early as possible so we can dispatch the goods for you before any complication or restrictions are imposed.

4) Deliveries

Gladly the delivery company we have been working very closely with is still running, so we will be delivering all current orders to you, or your clients if needed. However, below are a few points to make you aware

a. Preparation:  please kindly allow enough time for us to prepare your orders as we are down to two people in the warehouse due to current policy.

b. Delivery delay: as volumes of deliveries have surged for courier company, some depots may not be able to cope fully with enough drivers, so you may experience a delay in some orders. We will certainly try our best to assist if it did happen. At the moment, we are quoting up to 4-5 days for delivery in certain cases.

c. Delivery policy:

Drivers from this third party courier will not have any direct contact with customers, 2m social distancing have to apply so most of the time, the driver will ring the customer/knock at the door. Then leave the goods at the kerbside without a signature, as we have to avoid physical handling of one hardcopy of paperwork from one to another. The driver will ask for the name of the customer and sign the paperwork by himself/herself.

This is a challenging time for all business and we value your health and safety greatly and are strictly adhering to the government guidelines.

We will keep you updated on a regular basis as things change but will not inundate you unless there is key relevant information. We believe our current actions are appropriate to the best of our knowledge and will keep assessing the situation and following government policies and adapt where is needed.

To all our friends, please stay safe, and keep in touch, no, another wording, let us stay connected.

Thanks and best wishes,
